I have dishnetwork dishpro 301 receiver, with ati aiw 7500. It works flawlessly, excellent tv picture, so far I have not had any issue with this setup, now what i am trying to do is schedule to record two shows on two different channel at different times in unattended mode, but i don't know how can channels be changed in my absence. I believe I would need some sort of ir blaster device and a scheduling software which support that device and learn from satellite reciever remote and change channel.
I searched few choices, such as sage tv but they do not support ati aiw cards, snapstream says their ir device ( which is basically actisys ir 200l) does not work with dishnetwork receiver. show shifter does supports actisys ir 200l, but their software is way too buggy, but again ir 200l is not good for dishnetwork receivers.
Is there some body on this forum who has this sort of setup can guide me in right direction.

Snapstream should work dishnetwork 301 receiver that what I have the problem it just that you need rigth IR file to make all work rigth Snapstream didn't add them like SageTV dose.
SageTV only support Hardware Encoder not thoses lame Software Encoder which carp out under a heavy load when want do someeles at some time like paly a game which end with frame drop left and rigth. All thoses tools support Actisys IR 200L. -
Which file do I need, apparently snapstream does not provide any file. Here is the url for their answer.

By the way I converted from hauppauge wintv pvr. 250 to ati, I wish it had worked, which it never did, too many crashes and software bugs, suprisingly ati's software mpeg encoder's recording quality is better than hauppauge. I don't know why, and have not had any problem with ati. Pretty smooth card. -
I do not have a 301 only a 501.
Can you set timers in the 301? If so set them there and then just use a simple timer on the computer to capture.
Or find a 501 or Dishplayer, they do timers and the 501/508 appears to me to have better quality video. Then once again use a simple timer on the computer end to start and stop captures.
Good Luck -
