You make generate the timed subtitle file from within SSA. You need add the subtitler filter to your VDub project, if you double click on it/run it, you can then choose the *.ssa file you want to add to the VDub project.
You don't even really need SSA just the timed script file. -
Yeah but its harder then it sounds, I have made it and I can open it, I have also put a time but it still doesn't show anything
Here is what I get when I open the file in notepad:
!: This is a Sub Station Alpha v2.x script.
!: You cannot load this script into any version of Sub Station Alpha prior to v2.00
!: Check web page http://www.eswat.demon.co.uk/ for SSA details and latest versions,
!: or e-mail kotus@eswat.demon.co.uk

1) Sub Station Alpah: make and save your subs as *.ssa
2) VDub: File-->Open Video file-->select your avi file-->Video-->Filter--->Subtitile-->select your ssa and hit OK--->File--->Save as *.vdr--->File--->Start frame serving--->minimize *don't close* Vdub.
3) TMPGEnc: Open the vdr file and save it as whatever you want.
I think that's the procedure...Probably missed something, but that's the general idea.
