Help with Cendyne DVR-105

What version of firmware is the best to use with this drive? I want to burn esbuy.com's 4x media with Ulead DVD Workshop @ 4x. How do I know what firmware I currently have, and where do I go to get the update & instructions on how to update?

Also, when I burned on a TDK 2x DVD-R disc @ 2x, it got to 100% (Ulead DWS did) and then just stopped... I had to restart. I pulled out the DVD and it worked, except the last part of the movie was corrupted so obviously it didn't finish. This happen twice. What is a good alternative program to burn DVD Iso's in? Nero said it couldn't burn my DVD iso (1.9 GB) - did I do something wrong?

Finally, both Nero & Ulead DWS show my max burning speed for DVD as being 2x... why is this? I have the DVR-105 4x model.

In Nero ->Recorder -> choose recorder will show the latest firmware installed.

Search posts for firmware, pioneer and you will find a link to firmware updates

It can take 5 minutes for a full disc to close once it gets to 100%. Not sure if you waited that long or if its another problem.
