Well, after recently buying some cheap and sorry generic media off of the net, I am looking for some suggestions and/or links to some good affordable dvd-r media. I am looking to get a 50 spindle for 1 dollar per disc or cheaper after shipping.

I had excellent experience w/ Legacy DVD-R's but now I am having trouble finding them on the net. The Generic ones that I just got have a 50% success ratio and even when successful, they dont play on all my players (like a decent dvd-r should).

If you have any suggestions, please let me have em. Thanks :P

  2. I've burned overf 150 Ritek dvdr's without a single coaster or bad disc. I got them for 87 cents each after shipping for a 100 bundle.

Unfortunately, the price has since gone up to $1.15 each for a 100 pack where I got them...

    but, you can shop around.

So the RIteks are solid? Have you tested them on multiple players? THe reason I ask is because I have a Panasonic a120 and it plays -/+r and +rw flawlessly, and I have a sony dvpns715p which plays everything flawlessly. I am trying to make extra sure beacause these generic DVDs I just got only work on the sony and not the panasonic so I am a little concerned.

  4. I have been looking for other media as well. I have used about 50 Riteks and now and then I get a scene jump. It seems to happen more often in longer movies. Somtimes I will reburn a disk and it works fine, so you never know. I guess to sum it up I have not been thrilled with Ritek.

Try Princo DVD-Rs. They work quite well. I have been using them since day one and have never had an issue.

These Lead Data's have always worked well for me. They onlu burn at 1X, but they are consistantly "good" for me.

I originally purchased them as Accu's, but upon further examination via dvddecrypter, they turned out to be leaddata.

I purchase them by the 100.

  7. I also have used the Riteks since I got my burner. Have burnt over 300 disks and not one bad one yet. I've gotten them all from meritline.com but just ordered another 100 today from www.cdrdvdrmedia.com. The cheapest I've found them at the moment, $115 shipping included. Hope this helps.

I talked to my old seller and they said that Legacy has changed the name to dvX. I ordered a 50 spindle and I will get back w/ everyone and let you guys know the deal.

I get them from this guy on ebay, he has good prices, his shipping is a little more than I would want to pay but it is 2-3 day priority w/ delivery confirmation.

    Here is the 50 dvX

    Goto www.rima.com .

Check their reseller's ratings first though
