many have told me that playing video games on a big screen projection tv is a bad thing to do.....can anyone explain why? or is this just some bs.

Naw, I've never heard of this and can't see any reason this would be a bad thing to do. -
i haven't heard that question in a while. my nes system came with a warning about projection tvs. it has to do with the image getting burned on the screen. i don't know if its still possible (haven't really played with anything newer than ps1 when it first came out) but a lot of old games would have the same screen over and over, especialy the demo before your press start. i know a lot of old arcade games are worthless cuz you can't see the game behind the burned-in image of the demo.
