  1. Help Please

Well I'm useing the DVD Ripping guide from this page that shows to use smart ripper, DVD2AVI, and TMPGEnc. I have the newest of the software. I follow the directions in the guide but when it comes time to watch the VCD in my dvd player at certain points the lips are off from the words and usually the video seems to jump or speed up and catch up with the sound. Then the movie is ok for a while then it will do it again. When I watch the movie on the computer it works fine it doesn't seem to get off track. So any help would be of get help cause I'm really tired of scraping cds...lol Oh my dvd player is a APEX AD-500W and plays burned VCD's that I didn't rip fine it just seems to be the one's I'm ripping.

you need to provide a whole heck of a lot more info on the settings you use to create your VCD. for example, the rez, the audio/video bitrates, the framerate, MPEG-1 or MPEG-2, any templates used, burning software, CD-R or CD-RW, burning speed, encoding software used, etc.

  4. Same problem here... I think the fault rests with the APEX 500W. The MPEG files play flawlessly on my PC and the VCD's play fine on my Pioneer DVD player.
