  1. I can't figure out why some of my discs wont backup using pinnacle instant copy. i had the trial and did a few disks. worked great. My ordered copy finally arrived March 3, i loaded it and sucessfully backed up a few exactly as the guide on this sight instructs. I'm very wise in the ways of Divx and most video, DVD-r isn't my best subject though. anyways... I used dvd decrypter to get the disk to my hd, then got everything ready to go in IC. when i click start, i get "floating point division by zero" . I went over all the setting to dbl check that they are set correctly. I also searched these forums and doom9's. nothing about floating error and IC. the discs i'm having trouble with (Band of brothers and XXX) havn't given others probs when done with IC. any help. i've tried reinstalling IC. didn't help

    My rig:
    AMD XP 1900, ASUS A7v333, 512 ddr ram, 2 (40 gigs) 1 30 gig HD sony DRU-500a

  2. That is a problem InstantCopy has with some movies... it just won't back some movies up. I had ReserVior Dogs and Legally Blonde do the same.. There is nothing wrong with your installation. You will have to use other means to back up those movies.

  3. but that is the exact error it gives you? there are threads says that people had used that particular program to backup those same dvd's. i know that there are other regions and what not of discs but i just thought that i'de check. Also, i'm surprized that no one else had asked about that particular error.

  4. nyplayer: thats kind of ironic. the few movies that have worked for me were big fat greek wedding and spiderman, both of which were reported as having troubles on that link you just provided. I also just tried an older dvd of mine to check again in hopes that that dumb devide by zero had left. Last of the Mohicans gave me that same error too.
FYI: pinnacle just opened there forum for instantcopy.

  5. You know what you can try is to delete the discdata files that are created they may have gotten corrupted.. they can be found in

    C:\Program Files\InstantCD+DVD\InstantCopy\discdata

Instantcopy will recreate them when you start a movie. It's safe to delete the 2 files.

    discdata.add
    discdata.adi
