I was at Office Max and picked up a five pack of HP DVD+R which was onsale for I think $7 which is a good deal. Thing is I find they record at 2x. Anyone here see this with other media?

Hmm...
I thought minimum speed for recording DVD+R and DVD+RW was 2.4x. That means your HP DVD+R's basically are HP 2.4x DVD+R's, even though you read 1x (know some sites will state "1x", probably to mention it's the minimum speed DVD+R's).
I may be wrong and if so, please correct me, but I actually think I'm right.I wanna be bigger, stronger, drive a faster car...
