Slowly Im gettin this DVD-R stuff :)

Well how much do you have? One of my boxes has 512 and the other 1Gb.

I think that most ppl will agree with me that the costs outweigh the benefits when you have more than 512 megs of ram. even 256 is enough most of the time, even for encoding as it is mainly CPU intensive. So, if you can get 512, but if you cant, 256 aint so bad. those who have 1 gig are just lucky!!!:P:P

in general upgrading to 512mb will give you a boost.you'll see a improvement in winxp.
you can get a stick of 256mb pc2100 for $35US -
oh wow , everyone has 512mb and up.. I have 256 and it doesn't seem to work very well lol... could be my mobo..

Looks as though I will have to increase the computer's RAM for the DVD burner.
Currently, it is on 256MB of RAM and do I need to increase it when I get the DVD burner? -
CJGS- i think upgrading would be desirable but by no means vital for the correct use of your burner m8. so, if you have some £ then go 4 it but dont worry about it if u dont m8!
1)Why Not Overclock a little?! speed 4 free!!!!
2) If your question has anything to do with copying PS2/PC/XBox games, find a more appropriate website
