There are some sound programs that have remove vocals functions. I know Gold Wave has it, but the results are not that promising.

  3. If the vocals are centered in the stereo spectrum, any of the vocal removing programs will reduce the vocals volume but may not delete it entirely. It may alter the sound also.
A free vocal remover can be found at www.analogx.com in the music software area.

you will never be able to remove the vocals entirely. Like unclebud said, the vocals need to be in the centre of the audio for it to work. Anything else is like trying to un-bake a cake to get the eggs out.

Just listen to the song through some headphones. If the vocals sound like they are in the middle then you have centered vocals (most, if not all songs, have the main vocals centered)
