at a rate of 1.037 you're encoding faster than realtime..

is just that your doing it four times over thanks to your 4 pass set up

If the time involved is gettng to be a prob then try a single pass CQ encode then a second bite at it with variable set to 1 pass (hit advanced and use the VAF genrated from initial encode to check bit rate and q distribution) some manual tweaks in there will generally yeild a better result after just one more pass than a blind 4 pass strategy where CCE is left on its own for all 4 passes

ok m8, cheers for that, thinking on it i should have been able to work that out, after all, anything over 1 is greater than real time lol!
