Hey... first post here. I've have been reading here a lot lately and have also learned a lot. I just picked up a Mintek DVD-1600 player last weekend. I have a crappy small TV, so I had to buy an RF Modulator, so I did.
Anyway I hooked everything up and there is a lot of static noise when the player is turned on and not playing and also when I am watching a movie. It gets louder as I increase the volume.
Any ideas here??? I tried different audio and video cables, but that didn't help.
I would appreciate any advise.
Thanks,
CMSurfer.

Anybody??? I don't think it's my specific DVD player. No one else has ever had a noise/static sound on any DVD player?

Could just be noise on the modulator you bought. I would try the player on a friends TV and see if it does the same thing.
I bought three of the Mintek DVD players for gifts to family and none so far have any noise problems. -
Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll try it on a different TV...
