I have the Sony Dru500a and RITEK 4x -R media. How do I know what speed IC7 is burning when it does it all on its own?
Daemon tools does the ole' blue screen of death on my XP machine for some reason so I shy away from it.

I would assume burn time.
1X = approx 55 min
2X = approx 27 min
4X = approx 14 min......I'm guessing here, I can only burn at 2X

Isn't 4x Media expensive.. Why don't you just use the firmware and 1x media and burn at 2x for half the cost or more.....?

damn people...at least try to stay on topic
teflon, there is a way to adjust the burning speed, although you won't know for sure what speed it is burning...but if you set it to max then IC7 will burn at the max speed allowed by the disc
