I wanted to thank you again for your tutorial on getting around that OSEx problem. As you probably figured, it worked perfectly. Thanks!

You can also try DVDBackup to make a copy of your disc's VIDEO_TS directory.
Sometimes it kicks out an error and is unable to read a disc, but in many situations it's nicer than OSeX. It'll only read the VIDEO_TS directory, so it's proved useful in situations where a ton of DVD-ROM files have prevent OSeX from copying correctly.
Elsewhere on this forum someone described a nifty trick for using tocgen to create new index files for a title -- this is a great solution for making quick copies and keeping audio/subtitles intact. DVDBackup is nice for this because you can ask it to copy just the VOBs/IFO for a particular title.

What is this tutorial you speak of? I keep getting random crashes with OSEx. Maybe it is the same problem?

The URL above points to a message thread where we discussed the error messages of OSeX, and what to do about them. Take a look.
