    Hi
I have a raher large mpeg file 2 gigs. Its an extract from a dvd and I want to be able to split it into thirds so i can author it as svcd.

I used JAW MPEG2Splitter but only the first 1/3 file works!?!?
When i go to play the 2nd or 3rd file, they dont play?

    any ideas.

Is there a better program out there to split a mpeg file??
    Thanks

  2. Use Gumby or ffmpegX or MoreMissingTools to split your MPEG into multiple parts.

    Succes!

in my own experience, using gumby or mma all of the parts works, but with some freezes and sometimes strange noises, generally... only the first one works ok...

Yes, finding Gumby can be difficult. In my experience, it appears neither on Version Tracker nor in a Google search.

It is an OS X app., though I don't know if there are UNIX utilities under the hood.

    You can get it at:
