ok i am trying to convert analyze that xvid to svcd with tmpgenc. I set it up ok but when i get to the bitrate selection it says the size of the film will be over 4gig and this is due to the film being 278 mins long it says. I dropped a few more xvids into tmpgenc and it did the same with all of them, some over 300 mins even tho the films are an hour and a half or maytbe 2 hours in length. I tried the cc change thing to divx to no avail.
can anyone help me please??

even though you change the cc, it still needs converting to divx for some reason (I have found). The mpeg 2 file will be huge anyway mate, sounds about right...........you have to then split these if you want to make svcds etc. If you are trying to make a dvd then you should get the output set to ES, this way it will create an m2v file and you can then create vobs. Download the latest Tmpeg and use the wizard, should help you out....
