  1. I have the Cendyne, rebagged pioneer ao5. When I rip movies I would like to test them on dvd-rw's to make sure it is all ok before I burn them on to dvd-r's. So being cheap I bought some Princo dvd-rw's to play with. I formated a disk and just copied the movie on to it, yea it did not play, so I figure duh, I better burn it with Nero. When I tried that Nero would not burn it, well for that matter when the dvd-rw is in the drive it won't even let me pick the dvd burner. So I tried to burn a iso of a movie with dvd decrypter on to that formated dvd-rw. It gives me a I/O error, saying a device is not working right. So I took a blank dvd-rw burned the movie on it with nero, stuffed it in to my apex worked like a charm. So to test movies on dvd-rw's you have to use blank unformatted disks ? is there anyone to fix the one I formated so I can use it for movie testing ?
    thnx..

  2. Not to start a new flame war/debate but I wouldn't burn with nero, stick with DVD Decrypter if that's your other choice.

You say that you 'formated' your DVD-RW disc?!? Not sure what that means but I suspect that that's the problem. Erase the disc (nero can do that) and see if it becoms usable.

I second that. I use my Pioneer A03 with Princo DVD-RW's and Nero with no problems (at least when burning rips).

  4. Thnx for the advice....... dam if nero would not do anything with it....strange, so I loaded up record now, clicked on the disc, said erase and off I went no worries. When I inst record now it inst DLA... that added a right click option in powerdesk to format the disk. I'm not sure what happened but the erase worked. thnx for the help !!!!!!!!!
