  1. I just got Memento on dvd, and I don't know if you have seen it yet, but if your not paying attention from the start(damn girlfriend) you might have to watch it a few times. Anyway I just ripped it and I'm going to start editing it to put the thing in order, how it should have been. I'll probably make a vcd out of it. If anybody wants to check the finished thing out, let me know and I'll give you a copy(no charge of course, I don't want to go to jail!).

  2. I did that with Pulp Fiction once. The only problem I had was minor dialogue changes in the diner scene (Amanda Plummer changes her lines when she's supposed to say the same thing. I wonder if that was intentional?)

  5. Yeah, I'm talking about rearranging them. Obviously the first time you see it, its makes the movie better. I just want to check out what it would be like. Its a great movie to begin with, I just thought it would be cool to play around with. Why not?

Actually, I think it would be rather interesting to see the movie in the "correct" order, even though I loved the movie as is. So yeah, let us know how it turned out. I'm sure I'm not the only one curious.

  7. Yeah, that certainly would be interesting!

Superb film.....can't remember another that's made me think so much for days after watching it. Just out of interest......have you seen the site http://www.otnemom.com....gives a few clues.....

There's a pretty busy forum on the IMDB as well.

I have two questions for you. How would you splice in the Black and White part since it is linear forward and fades into the backward main storyline? And related to a part of the movie that I did not understand. Why did Burt, the hotel guy, not want Lenny to go into the one room he had rented? I know he said that he had rented him two rooms to make more money, but the scene had a sort of urgency for Burt to keep Lenny out even though he knew Lenny would forget even being in that room. Maybe I am just overanalyzing that scene.

I loved that movie, you're right though, when your girlfriend is constantly distracting you, you have to watch it in increments, and constant pausing, it can be a pain.
I ripped it too, so i can see it again.

  10. I just got this DVD from a friend, who thought I should re edit it too, but I haven't watched it at all yet.

  11. I finished it. It turned out ok. I didn't join any of the scenes because the audio kept getting out of sync. I just put each clip on a different track, so depending on the player there is that annoying pause. Pisses me off, but its still kind of cool. The black and white part just fades in and out in the begining. It doesn't look as bad as you might think. Its pretty cool though!!
