  1. This subject may have been addressed, but I am looking for the best program to create sweet Dvd menus. I could care less if its also a good authoring tool, tough that would be nice. Im going to need to create menus for my friend's band and my band's dvds. So i need to be able to use animations, transitions and import music. Any help would be great,

  2. Thats a bit like asking "what is the best film ever made" or any such similiar "best of" question, everybody has their own opinions. It also depends how much you want to spend and how much effort you want to go to.
    A few suggestions to try:
Ulead DVD Workshop seems very popular, can produce motion menus (but always craches for me when I try it!) and is easy to use.
Dazzle DVD complete can also do motion menus, is cheaper but again seems to be unstable on some people systems (but is OK on mine!)

Proffessional tools like DVD Maestro or Reel DVD will allow you to do almost anything, cost a great deal of money and require a lot of learning/effort.

    Hope this helps.

  3. things like reeldvd allow you to do moving menus really damn easily. I think the hardest part is making the animation. All you have to do is slap in a video piece put a sub picture over the top and loop it ... easy, with the right software of course

  4. thanks for your responses. Ill look into all the above programs. I guess i did word the topc wrong. What i was trying to get at is the most stable program with the greatest compatibility that can produce what i mentioned. Like you said, a certain program keeps crashing for you. I don't want anything that'll keep giving me problems because i need to spend countless hours making these menus. Not too mentin there is going to be a huge array of consumers. Therefore i need the best compatibility. But thanks for all your suggestions. Ill make sure i check em all out.

DVD Menu Studio cannot be touched, IMO. Check out DVD Menu Studio at http://www.mediachance.com/dvdmenu/index.html

Sure beats the $300 for Photoshop.
