  1. Hi everyone...
I have a problem...I have a an AVI format movie, converted into Divx codec. When I open the file in the windows media player, it succeeds to download the video codec and shows the video. But for some reason there is no sound. I tried to open the file in VirtualDub and convert the audio stream to a simple WAV file. But the VirtualDub disagreed to do so.
I change the option to full processing mode, because I do want to change the audio to WAV. And when I do so it, this pops up:
"The Requeted audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check that the sampling rate and channal count of the input match those of the requested format."
And so i did. I changed the sampling rate and channal count the the same values as the original video is. But it keeps showing me the annoying error.
    Glad if someone will help!!!!

Is it AC3 audio? Try opening the file in power dvd or windvd.

You may not have the required codec. Check the file using Gspot , it's in the Tools section.
