    Ok

    Ive made 2 movies with 42

    Both when played back in mplayer get really really jerky

    Is there any way to fix this?

    Im running an iMac G4 800
    with 256 ram

  2. I've found mPlayer to be a little more CPU heavy on playback, and VLC gives better results (except sound quality, which sucks on VLC). Of course, I'm on a much slower CPU (450 G4), but you may want to try VLC to see if it plays better there.

    I haven't tried this yet but someone recommended setting the VBR to 3 instead of the default 6.

    We need more info, are you going form a DVD9 to a DVD5? Is it jerky when played back on the computer? not likely. It is jerky when you play it back on your stand alone DVD player? it is a Panisonic?

    Im not a big DVD-DVDr person

    i have tha playiyng problem fixed(thanks mlindber)

    Now my problem(again) Is the green and blue lines now at the top and bottom of the screen. Kai told me to use an older version of mencoder.
    Can anyone give me the link to the whole list of every version they have?
