Can anyone tell me if they have successfully used the Nero Quick Erase feature on DVD+RW disks. When you read the description of Quick Erase in the Nero Help files, it says it will work for 1 to 2 minutes.???? what the heck is that,...

I've tried it on good quality disk and even though is says the disk is erased, when I tried to re-write it later, it says the "Disk is not empty".

Why would they include a function like that if it won't work. Also, If you do try to rewrite it immediatley after quick erase, is it reliable.????

If anyone knows of a link to this topic, please post. Thanks

  2. I've had no problems with the quick erase, have reused dvd+rw many times. Be sure it ejects after completion and then reinsert to drive. On occasion I have to wait upto 15 sec before trying to access the drive after insertion. I have the Phillips DVDRW228.
I've come to paint, but I've forgotten my brush.

  3. What brand media are you using? I found out that with Nero some of my Princo DVD-RW's would not erase properly with the Quick Erase option. I had to do a full erase. No problems with Pioneer 2X DVD-RW.
