  1. I wanted to try Ulead DVD MovieFactory to see what it would do with
    a DivX or Xvid file.

Much to my surprise it did not complain at all when I added one of these files to the project. This is good news.

The DivX file was 23,976 fps, and I told the program that I wanted it to produce a PAL DVD (25fps). No Problemo.

I let the program run the conversion and the burning to DVD.
(to save some time i cut the DivX file in 150MB parts, and used only one of these parts as video source).

Well, the resulting DVD worked just fine on both my PC and on my set-top player.

Strengthened by this positive result, I now started the project over but this time I let the program convert and produce the whole movie (750MB).

Unfortunately this wont work. I have no idea whatsover as to why.
After about an hour and a half spent converting the AVI file, it bombs with some silly error code.

Has anyone tried all the above? Have you in that case managed to produce a working DVD? Or can you tell me if I am missing something?

    Please, any reply is welcome.

Oh, by the way, I'm using Ulead DVD MovieFactory v.2
