  1. who knows of some good software for grabbing web images? at least one thats not 40-50 bucks...i have been scouring the web but have only found 1 good one for 15 bucks...problem is they don't accept VISA and they won't return my email's about other ways to pay...i've tried many many others but either they suck or cost 40+....the one I like and can't get will search through thumbnail links...this is what i need. not just to pick the images off the main page but from their thumbnail links....Thanks...........

  5. What you need is something like "Websnake". I don't know if this program is still being sold (do an internet search).

    Basically, it will start from the URL you provide and "snake" the website. It will parse any HTML pages downloaded and download all the linked HTML files / images / etc. You can set whether the program follows all links, stays within the current URL/web domain, etc.

    I used to use this program to completely download websites (e.g., eBooks in HTML), but it only works for static pages so it is relatively less useful now.

    If you go to Tucows, you should be able to find programs with similar functionality.

Vitalis has the right track...thanks...its not just a matter of point and click when your browsing through a site with about 2000 images and 20 thumbnail images per page...i'll look for the snake but i did do a search a tried about 30 programs and none of them worked the way i liked...but the snake program i havn't tried yet...thanks.....

    I seem to recall that it's some kind of leach program - just type in the www page and it will take all the graphics and also the fill pic that the thumbnail points to.
