When I save the screencaps as I jpg, I only get 2 screencaps in there. How do I do it so I can get 10+ screencaps in smaller tiles in one jpg? I've seen it done before.

Exactly where do I enter the number of images and their size? The closest thing I can see is the box where it says "Columns:" It's set to 5 right now, I changed it to 10 and was able to generate 4 screencaps. I'm trying to change the number higher but still won't generate past 4 screencaps.

    That's it.

How are you grabbing the images ? Manually, or with the Extract button ?

I think manually. The extract button is the one with the little monitor right? It freezes up on me everytime I use it. I've tried setting it from 30 to 20 to 10.

And if you click on the camera more than twice ? The images should build up down the lefthand side.

Does this happen for all movies, or just this particular one ?

Ok I got it now. I didn't know about the camera button. Is this how the program works... you hit the camera button every time you want to save a screencap? Or does the extract feature do this automatically? Because it freezes up on me every time I hit the extract feature.

    Thanks!

The extract feature takes a shot at regular intervals based on the number of images you request. The camera allows you to make manual shots of specifc frames.

If the extract function is freezing then the most likely cause is either a corrupt install of the program, a codec problem, or a problem with the video. I would start by reinstalling. If that doesn't work, check out the video with g-spot, and install the latest version of the video codec required. Finally, scan the video itself for errors/bad frames.

You're right it was the video that was bad. I just tried it on a different video file and the extract feature works fine without freezing. I guess I'll just manually have to do the other one then, I don't mind.

    Thanks again.

What resolution are these screen grabs? I've only used windvd to get a few screen grabs and they were always small maybe 400x500...or so

Image Grabber II gives you two choices. You can grab and save full screen images, or you can do a contact sheet type layout of stills form the movie onto a single page. Very handy tool.
