This is what I want to do:

I have a number of DVDs containing songs (about 50 songs per DVD).
I want to select some songs from each Dvd and burn them to a DVD _R.
This would inevitably mean I need to extract certain chapters
(=songs) from VOB files. I have Extracted those chapters I needed
from VOBs using DVD Decrypter. My question is how can I make each
one of these extracted chapters to VOBs? I have seen somewhere that
ChopperXP can be used for this purpose. If I can do this then I
think I can use the article in following link to burn these VOBs
    to a DVD _R.

Can someone help me to sort out this problem. Thanks.

  2. Need more info. When you say that you used DVD Decrypter to make chapters of each song did you make seperate VOB files, or demux to m2v/ac3 files for each one?

Either way, what I would do is make seperate m2v/ac3 files for each PCG (program chain, should be one for each song). Then load them all into an authoring program, reauthor a new DVD, and burn it.

I use DVD Maestro for this. But there are several other programs (eg. Ulead DVD Word Shop, which also as a free 30day trail IIRC).

    Well, it's like this:

There is a one-to-one mapping of songs and chapters,
    i.e. song1=chapter1, song2=chapter2,...,song50=chapter50.
Therefore I can use DVD Decrypter to extract just the
    chapters(=songs) I want. I didn't need to do anything
else. The result of this is that I end up with VOBs
containing just one chapter. The article that I refer
to in my previous message says that it is possible to
burn VOBs taken from different DVDs to one DVD R. My
question is whether I can use these VOBs containing
just one chapter for this purpose or do I need to
modify them using a tool like Chopper XP before I can
    burn them?
