My player reads CD-RW and not CD-R!

I have made SVCD using DVD2SVCD and Nero. I have a Toshiba SD-210E Player. I obtain perfect results using CD-RW but wit CD-R i get a lot of freezing reading the SVCD on my player. I tried reducing the burning speed with the same results. Is it the fault of the media I am using (Memorex)?? Can anybody suggest a better media or other solutions??

have you looked at the DVD Players list <========== at the side menu? Look up your player can it actually play CD-R's according to the list? My SONY 535 player can only play CD-RW and not CD-R's... so I bought a DVD writer... better quality and not problem playing them on my DVD player.

Some DVD player's only support CD-R or CD-RW. :P

I've just had exactly the same problem, and I have solved it by burning onto a different media. Imation and Sony didn't work but Ridata works.

Try burning to few different brands, it solved the problem for me.
