    Search Comp PM
ok here we go. I have been seeing alot of arguing back and forth. So lets test out a few things post them on a web page and see who is really the top dog!

#note TMPGEnc 12j is optimized for sse2 if you have a p4 please make sure that it is checked. (this is under options; enviromental settings; cpu tab)Tmpge is a good cpu test because nothing else really can spped it up more besides processing power, nothing more. please stick to this benchmark to the t so that we can gather the proper information.

    What you need:

    hypersnap screen capture prog 2.42mb,
    http://www.hyperionics.com/downloads/HS4Setup.exe

    the avi file 3mb,
    http://www.orange.ch/real/launch_de.avi

    tmpgenc12j 875kb,
    http://www.tmpgenc.com/files/TMPGEnc-0.11.28.112.zip

    What to do:
    1. open note pad and write down your vcdhelp screen name and your specs just like this:

    Shochan's Machine

    amd athlon 1.4
    asus a7v133
    512mb pc133
    ata100 2og
    geforce 2 mx

save file. and leave it open and on the left side.

    2. open the avi in tmpge 12j and you MUST load the videoCD(NTSC) template. then set your motion search precision to motion search estimate(fast) and uncheck all options on every tab so that ther is no filters or anything checked (failure to do this will slow you down and give false data!)
After you have it all set up start it and when it finishes do not close it, leave it open so it can display the time it took.

    3. start hypersnp dx and click start using.

4.situate notepad with your info on the lower left side and tmpge on the upper right. then press and hold ctrl+shift+f and it will take a screen shot.
click image; scale; set it to 80% and click done.
click file; save as; then under save as type select jpeg and then save it with what ever name you want and email you results to me (email button on the left actually works! )

To see a example and to see the results so far goto http://www.geocities.com/genenamy/index.html

Benchamrk will end on the 11th of september.

  2. You don't need a screen capture program. Simply hit the "Print Screen" button on the keyboard, open a paint or image program, and paste the screen capture from the clipboard.
