Hi,
I'm about to buy a PowerG4, but it only comes with a 'Superdrive'. For my business, I'd like to have both a superdrive and a regular DVD/CD 'combo' reader. This will allow me to keep a copy of each customer's project and if they want additional copies down the road, I'll simply burn them.
Does anyone know of any DVD/CD readers which can be used on both MAC and PC? Ordering a combo drive from Apple isn't an option at this point and I don't want to use an additional HD to store the burned image either b/c I'll be forever adding/deleting projects. I'd like to grab the authored DVD from a folder and then BOOM! 30 mins later, have another copy
Which leads me to another question....is there software for Apple which allows for DVD duplication between 2 drives? ie. like AheadNero for the PC?

The solution is simple: burn two copies of the DVD project. Give one to the customer, and keep one for yourself. You'd want to do this anyway, to show you met contractual obligations in the event of litigation.
You can then erase the project and final build from your hard drives so preserve space. In the future, when additional copies are needed, you can use Toast, or Disk Copy that's built into OS X to make a copy of the DVD from your archive. A DVD Video disk is simply a UDF data disk with a special file structure. -
Thanks Anty...you just saved me a few hundred dollars and increase my customer service.
Cheers,
