    In all the time that I've used MSN messenger, I've never had one of those messages appear. Guess I'm one of the lucky few!! When I first glanced at this thread, I thought it was going to tell you how to get rid of the advertisements at the bottom of the "buddy list". Oh well.. now that I know how to turn off the messenger service messages, I'll make sure I do this when I get home. Thanks for the info!!

    When I first glanced at this thread, I thought it was going to tell you how to get rid of the advertisements at the bottom of the "buddy list"
    For that just use Messenger Plus! Extension from www.download.com
