  1. CUrrently a friend of mine uses DVD2ONE and Nero (Same as me), but when he plays back the discs on longer movies it freezes at the last few chapters. Anyone guess what the cause of this might be and what should I do to fix?

What program are you useing to rip the DVD files to your harddrive first? I use(and recommend) Smartripper and i experienced a very similiar problem. The copied dvd played nice but for some reason the last 20 minutes or so would not play.It would just freeze.

I believe i figured out the problem.I needed to change a setting in smartripper under the Files/Backup mode.I believe it was the part where it asked how to handle vob's with three options:Auto, normal or ASPI.

I previously tried normal and auto. The same thing occured. But when i ripped the DVD again, this time useing ASPI.Then the resulting burned DVD played properly afterwards.

Also i suggest you get the latest version of nero if you hav'ent already.

    Hope that helped.

  3. He is actually using Decrypter, but I will tell him to use Smartripper and do this mode instead. He can also use Recordnow I guess, instead of Nero. Thx for the input

    8) Which method are you using to burn in Nero.I use DVDrom(UDF/ISO),no multisession,Iso Level 1-Iso 9660 and untick joilet box.Under UDF tick the box that says "force DVD compatibility mode(required for xbox TM),this greys out the udf physical partition box and then write disc.
I had the same problem with films freezing up on me and adding to my coaster collection until I tried this.
(It only works with recent versions of Nero.)

mikef07, Is that some type of psychological issue you're dealing with? I mean, are your "friend" and "you", one in the same? I'd be willing to bet they are. It must be tough praising a product without even testing it fully, and have to attempt some way to come back and ask if DVD2ONE could of caused this issue to occur. I mean, here is your friend's thread, I mean "you're" thread. https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=143260

And now you, I mean, your friend, has got the NERVE to second guess DVD2ONE. Shame on your friend. Well, i'm sure i'm wrong, so tell your friend that Star Warrior's advice isn't gonna help, because that has nothing to do with your movie freezing, burning, playing, or the price of tea in China.

This issue you are having is a WELL DOCUMENTED issue on these forums and "probably" has little to do with DVD2ONE or NERO. Phewww...I'm sure your friend will be relieved to hear that! For whatever reason, certain media, EVEN NAME BRAND MEDIA, have bad disks every so often and you will get this PROBLEM to occur. The reason is because the data is more sensitive towards the end of the disk and as a result, anything over 4 GB's on these disks, is going to put you in a situation to potentially have this problem occur. That is why this occurs ONLY TOWARDS THE END of the disks. Now, even though DVD2ONE does NOT DIRECTLY cause this problem, it does so INDIRECTLY. Your friend won't like that though.

The reason is because it allows the resulting transcoded output to be 4.36 GB's on EACH AND EVERY MOVIE. This can definitely cause this issue you are referring to with ANY MEDIA, cheap or otherwise. That is just ONE of the MANY reasons I don't use that program. Hopefully your friend didn't make too many backups, because if he did, then he is going to realize really quickly, that a LOT of those backups have this issue, and will continue to have this issue until DVD media gets to the point where it is almost flawless, just as CD media did.

But it will take time for that to happen, and until then, I would try to stay away from filling the capacity of ANY blank media.

    Hey retard,

If you did a little research you will see that when I have a problem I will write "myself" or "I" or "me". I have nothing to hide, and on my machine I get no freezes or lockups. My friend does. I took your advice now take mine "Tell your father to pull out next time". Don't judge my character or attack me when you have no proof of anything.

Got it dumbfense, errrr I mean defense?

  7. Mika, the only retard here is YOU! Your posts show how tarded you truly are, and don't sweat it, you aren't the only Tard around here. I have nothing against Tards like you, that's why I tried to help you. Just say this five times really fast...I AM We TODD IT. Now, as for your "response" shit for brains....here is YOUR QUOTE:

If you did a little research you will see that when I have a problem I will write "myself" or "I" or "me".
Then did YOU or YOUR FRIEND write this:
Anyone guess what the cause of this might be and what should I do to fix?

What do you mean what can "YOU" do to fix this Tard, it's your FRIEND that has the PROBLEM, and YOUR FRIEND who needs to fix this. :biglaugha: I hope your FRIEND purchased CHEAP media, because it must really hurt to ride on those roller "coasters" if YOUR FRIEND catches my drift! LOL

  8. Well if you had a brain you would understand. If he was an expert he would post here himself and ask, but he is not and he wants me to fix it. You really are stupid. He has a problem and I will fix it. So shit for brains whose father should have pulled out,

"CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT MIGHT BE CAUSING IT AND HOW I, YES I, CAN FIX IT SINCE HE WON'T BE ABLE TO FIX IT HIMSELF?

OK DUMBFENSE??? DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW?

  9. If he was an expert he would post here himself and ask, but he is not and he wants me to fix it.
That is real, real, funny! Your friend is smart enough to be able to back up a movie, but he isn't "expert" enough to be able to ask that question on this forum? Is that what you really said? Or was that your friend? Also, he isn't an expert but YOU are? BWAHHH....I feel like I just did 300 crunches i'm laughing so hard. The more your friend posts, the worse he/she looks. I bet you and your friend loved ME, MYSELF AND IRENE. But I also bet your friend wanted to be Irene too,and that screwed the enjoyment of that movie up.

As I said coo coo for cocoa puffs...don't sweat it, your friend got busted. I gave your friend info to help solve your problem. Tell your friend that information was courtesy of "defense." Also, tell your friend he can purchase more good cheap media at www.cdrdvdrmedia.com Since DVD2DVDONE is so FAST AND GREAT, he will be able to make ALL THOSE BACKUPS OF BACKUPS in no time at all.

  10. Smart enough to backup a movie??? Have u used DVD2ONE? Even a dumbass like yourself could figure this out. This is why he uses this and not CCE or TMPG. You truly might be the dumbest person on this board. He has no choice but to use DVD2ONE.

  11. ahh, Mika, you've done it again. Your friend continues to make you look bad. Tell "HANK" that he is really screwin' it up for "Charlie."
Smart enough to backup a movie??? Have u used DVD2ONE?
Yea, that was my point Charlie, that Hank was smart enough to use such a brainless program, but wasn't smart enough to sign up on this fourm to ask a question. :biglaugha: Now, if you'll excuse me Charlie, I have to do some work for a friend, I mean, me, and I won't be back for a couple of hours, but try to keep Hank in his place until then...k.
