    can this dvd player play dvd-r on it and if so does it like bulkpaq dvd-rs

    Yeah this player can play dvdr & it will play those nasty bulkpaq disks but beware this player is very fincky & tends to malfunction, my mate has has 3 so far & they have all died after a couple of weeks so Be careful, choose a slightly more reliable player like a mustek or cyber home if U R on a budget!!
