    Does anyone know if SVCD movies support any surround sound. does it support 5.1 dolby if playing in a dvd player that supports 5.1 surround.

    The official spec does not support dolby AC3 audio. There is something about MPEG 5.1 audio but it is rare and not the same thing. You might try to author such a hybrid but unless you have a smart player and surround system it is doubtful it will play in a settop.
