  1. Has anyone else experienced a problem with the 724, where if you pause a regular DVD disc, part way through playback, and then resume a moment later, that the audio and video fall out of sync?

I see it occasionally, and it does not seem to be disc specific (one day it works fine, the next it does not - on the same disc)

Is there a fix of some sort to correct this?

  2. I have the 724 AT 31 and it is CLEARLY the best standalone out there. It plays EVERYTHING in EVERY format that I have tried. And plays them ALL FLAWLESSLY. As far as your problem goes, I have NEVER heard of that, not even on this site in the DVD PLAYER section. If those are original DVD disks, and not cheap media, you may have some odd type of defect. If it doesn't happen often though, I wouldn't worry about it. Here is what I suggest. I have noticed that when you pause movies on most DVD Players, sometimes when you go to hit play, it may take a split second to playback, but that is nothing to be concerned about. What I suggest that you do is next time you need to pause the disk, is not hit "pause" but hit the "stop" button once. If you hit "stop" twice, then the DVD will start from the beginning of the movie when you hit play, but if you hit it "once" then you can simply hit play when you are ready to get back to the movie, and it should resume perfectly. I would doubt you would have that problem if you use "stop" instead of pause. Also, from what I have read, it isn't good to have a "still" picture paused for a prolonged period of time, ESPECIALLY on projection screens. I know most "pauses" are short, but you never know when something may come up and you may forget your DVD is paused. If you hit "stop" once, that should help two things. One, you will get the screensaver, and two, you shouldn't experience that problem again.

  3. I just purchased the 724AT last week and have not had any issues with sound or anything else. For $112, this player is a great buy and plays DVD+R and DVD+RW without any problems.
