Hello once again,
I am trying to back up my version of Pheonix Nights, that quality Peter Kay Comedy experience, using DVD2SVCD to a 4.7 DVD-R.
I have had no problems doing episodes 1 to 3 but episodes 4 to 6 it is having real problems with.
DVD2SVCD just stops dead before the DVD2AVI stage. I think this is due to the strange naming of the VOB files on the disk. It goes something like Vob_02 , Vob_4 and Vob_5.
Can I get round this by changing the Vob filenames to Vob_01, Vob_02 and Vob_03 ?
If anyone has encountered the same problems please tell me how to get round it.
Thanks,
Le Monkey

I believe you can extract those files to disk, and direct DVD2SVCD to the files, rather than the DVD. The problem there, is that the IFO file points to the wrong files. You can try redirecting it with IFOEdit.
I'd suggest you simply learn how the process works, and do the conversion manually, using one of the guides.Impossible to see the future is. The Dark Side clouds everything...
