When I drag my finished VCD file to Toast I have the message:

"Warning: The length of *movie* is not a multiple of the sector size"

I can still burn the CD but it wont play on my DVD player

The VOB was decoded in ffmpeg with standard settings for PAL/VCD.

    Any ideas?

that may happen cause you're probably trying to burn a VCD in the multitrack XA format. if you use toast, be sure to select video cd option.
Or... maybe when creating the vcd you adjust the custom rate from 1152 to another setting. by doing this your mpeg won't be a vcd but svcd, so can't burn it as vcd... if you do that, u must use missing mpeg tools to make a bin/cue or a img file to burn it in multitrack or image disc as corresponds.

    hope this may help!
