Every once in a while I find that one of my tapes has trouble playing (and capturing) on my computer even though it plays fine on TV.
It looks to me like there is an overly which is used for the counter and menu info and that that overlay just can't hold still when played on the computer. It flutters down over the top of the picture like a flag in the wind.
I am familiar with macrovision and this is not macrovision. It occurs on older tapes that are copies of copies.
Is there any way to capture this tape to my computer without this problem?
ATI AIW Radeon 7500. Problem is the same when caping with VirtualDub, MMC or Studio 8.
Thanks
