  1. tonight i have had 5 emails asking me to show how i did a six episode disc keeping eveything using dvd2one and make it easy.

first i have three empty folders ready.

    1. rip the whole dvd to one folder

    2. take the main vobs out and put it in a different folder

    3. open make it easy and in step 2 browse to find the main vobs you
have just moved, then where it says (increase size by) you put in
the amount of the files left in the first folder you ripped to.
( add a bit extra just incase). then press pad original vob set.

    4. once that as finished you will see that vobs have been increased.
now open ifoedit and create new ifos for the vobs. (this will change
the multi pgcs to one pgc)

    5. open dvd2one and select the vobs (notice its only one pgc now)
your destination to the third folder and encode.

    6. once dvd2one has finished bring make it easy back up and in step
4 browse to find your vobs what dvd2one has just created and press
remove padding. (your vobs should now be smaller)

    7. once that has finished take them vobs and put them in the first folder
where you first ripped the disc.

    8. bring up make it easy and in step 5 browse to find the original ifo file
    and press update.

    9. check it out, it should be small enough to fit on one dvdr and all the
menus, extras, and scene selection should be intact.

    10. burn

    11. enjoy.

    hope this helps.

  2. Thanx for the info, I'll try that once I get around to buying me an episode DVD. Maybe I'll pick up Sanford & Son the Complete 1,2,3 Seasons I always loved that show

  3. only part i'm confused about is part 8...what do you do with the newly created IFO file? is that what you mean by update? so you don't move the new IFO file made with IFOedit into the original folder?

thanks, once i hear back on this, i can go test it out as well

  4. correct, just put the new vobs, not the ifo back in with the originals but dont get rid of the new ifo cause make it easy needs it.

browse on step 5 to find the original ifo and press update.
once finished you can get rid of the other stuff.

    Thanks for the guide!!

I tried it and it worked great!!

Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself but ever wonder if you could change the size of the extras to be smaller in size?
Giving you more space for the actual movie to be processed in dvd2one.

I mean I would rather have the 'movie' itself at a higher bitrate than the 'making of...' extra.

If you think of a way to do this, share.

    Thanks again.

  6. @evil twin.

if i need to encode the extras which i have just done with one disc cause one set of the extras was 900mb i used cce to encode that one vob down to 300mb.

dont know about everybody else but the tools i use are.

dvd2avi, chapterxtractor, ac3 delay correcter, cce, maestro then ifoupdate.

to work out the size of the video i need is.

open ac3 delay and find the ac3, on the left it will tell you how many frames there is, jot it down and close.

open calculater and put in the number you just jotted and divide it by 31.25, jot that number down.

now if you want the m2v file to be 300mb you put.
300 in the calc divide by the second number you jotted then times by 8000 and the jot down that number, that is now your bitrate

when cce as finished i am never more than 10mb away from what i wanted.

in cce i use mutipass (1) with average (the last number you jotted)
    min 0, max 9000.

    Hi,

Do you have an idea of why by entering the size of the "extras" it will set arounf twice that space for the padding?

It doubles the padding because the padding is transcoded along with the actual vob files. If padding is 500MB's it will be 250MB's after DVD2ONE trancodes the files.

    Hi,

It's a software that, when used with dvd decrypter, dvd2one and ifoedit, let you make a full backup (with menus and extras) of one of your movies.
