Stuck Mid-conversion

ok, I am trying to convert a 2-part divx movie into svcd with permasubs

now what I have so far are 2 1.5 gig MPEG files with no audio
now I was wondering what I should do first, add audio or merge then cut the mpg into like 4 cd's
I extraced the audio from the original divx file with virtdub into wav files, what should I do next, and please list the programs necessary for this

Add audio first. The farther into your project you get, the more chance you have of introducing loss of audio sync in a project like yours.
