  1. Having big problems here. I have downloaded the first half of lotr ext edition as divx avi with vbr audio. (kids have already wasted their xmas prezzie and I don't have a dvd drive to copy my friends).

My problem is the .avi is in perfect sync with 23.976fps and has vbr audio. I am wanting to change it to 25fps.

I am using vdubmod, sound forge (have tried goldwave but had big problems), tmpgenc and ulead dvd movie factory for burning.

Ran it through vdubmod, checked for bad frames. Saved out the audio first to wav then changed to 25 fps and no audio in the video. Checked the time difference in the new video and used sound forge to change the audio to correct time. This process has always worked for me in the past.

Now when I run it through tmpgenc I have a very noticable sync problem all throughout the file. The video and audio both have the same time so I can't see where I am going wrong.

I would prefer to still keep using the programs I am just now as I have had no problems in the past with them.

ANY IDEAS?????? Please help. I don't think I could take much more of this. Just when I thought I had this cracked I end up going back to square one lol

I too had big problems using goldwave with any movie to convert to 25fps.

Try this instead, it allways works for me.

Use VDUB as you expalined to change video to 25fps.

Save the audio as uncopressed wav if you can. If its ac3, do direct stream copy.

If ac3 you need to use headac3he to convert to wav. Then use besweet gui & besweet.exe to convert to 25fps audio. Use the defualt profile on besweet gui & choose the option on the left to change 23.976 to 25.000 fps or ntsc to pal.

Then join video & audio using VDUB & direct stream copy on both.

    Any probs please pm me.
