Hi,
I have a file (AVI or DivX; not sure how you tell the difference) that I tried to open up in VirtualDub, but it would not open the first time; I think it said something about needing a codec for XVID or XVCD (something like that; I remember the "X" at the beginning but that's all; i'm sorry, i hope this doesn't make it harder). I got the codec and it opens now. Also, this file won't open in TMPEnc. I was wondering how I could convert it to MPEG to burn as a XVCD (or VCD, but I assumed that it was meant to be burned XVCD b/c of a higher bitrate) without running it through VirtualDub, saving it as a normal AVI, and losing some quality. Is there another program I need? Another codec?
the file information is: 576x320, 23.976 fps. (decompressor) ffvfw MPEG-4 codec.....if you need more file information I'll try to get it.
