Ok i've done a search and read the posts on this topic and they seem to be very confusing and involve creating an xDVD which isn't what I want .. I want a DVD compliant DVD as the output with audio 48hz instead of 44, 720x480 instead of 480x480 (i realize you can't add something thats not there and re-encoding involves some loss of quality).
I got through the process and have a new .m2v file from CCE which is the movie in the format I want ... but .. then i suddently realized that my audio was in .d2v and not .ac3 .. and you obviously can't demux an ac3 from a svcd mpeg fileSo I am befuddled about how to either
1) Start over with the mpg files and get them converted properly
or
2) Convert this .d2v into something authorable with the m2v ?
