How will it play on my DVD-player?

I hope you can help me out.

I have a DVD player that supports VCD and SVCD. Now i have a SVCD with a image at the beginning. When i put the SVCD in my DVD-Player, an image starts-up with a picture and the movie name.

Now I want to view the movie, but nothing happens. I have no idea what to do. It keeps on showing the image and wont play, i pushed the play button but nothing happens. Does maybe somebody has an idea how to get this movie played? What do i have to do?

If i burn a SVCD myself, without an image at the beginning, it start playing automatically.

So I know my DVD supports SVCD. Please help me out. Thanks !

Try hitting >> (ie. next track). It sounds like your made a mistake when you authored the x(S)VCD and didn't tell it what to do after track one finished.
