Your PAL PS2 games won't be able to play on a NTSC PS2 because of the region code of your PS2.

Not too sure on this one but i think that you can get a mod chip but then again i think that you need a supporting tv as well not really sure... just thought that i would throw in my 2 cents
You win some, and you lose some, and some get rained out...

  7. Yes modchips do let you bypass region coding, here is a site from your own country...

    http://www.modchip.ca/products/ps2/magic3.php

    Confirmation of region hack...

Please note that Import PS2 original games do not work on JAP PS2 consoles with any PS2 mod at the moment - only PS2 backups will work.
Play US, PAL and JAP PS1 Games! Easy Installation!

    SECURE ORDER FORM (SSL)

100 % Guarenteed and full Technical Support!

All Mod-Chips are verified before they leave our company

Chips will be shipped the same day of your order!

Chip comes with Wires, Solder and Installation Pictures!
    What is this all about?

To prevent people from playing import games or backups, the PlayStation2 checks, if the inserted CD matches the console code during bootup. If not, it stops loading.

The MOD Chip injects the right country code during the boot sequence and you are then able to play IMPORT GAMES and CD-R
BACKUPS. Our chips are equipped with the newest SOURCE CODES and work in every PlayStation2 consoles!

You could use a modchip for your PS2 even though I don't recommend it because modchip's generally do more harm than good.
