    I have just purchased and installed a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 250.
    The software version is 1.6 (12/27/02) which I think is newer than what is posted on the their website. The install went fine and the captures to
    DVD look awesome! BUT it seems that whenever the WinTV2K application is running, it is constantly accessing the Hard Drive. Is this normal or am I missing something? Please Help.

    Yes this is normal it temp a MPEG for perview display
