  1. I've been doing SVCD for over a year and doing one now for a friend. I realize with lowering bitrate, you will lose some quality. He wanted a 2:16 long movie on 2 cds. I tried kingviper's SVCD template and had to lower the max bitrate to 1500 in order to do this, then I put quality 78 ( btw does increasing quality, increase encoding time) I didnt mess with min bitrate, left that as 0.
Another thing it says 15.29mb per 1 minute if movie. I know MB size is different when you got to put it on cd, that more than 700mb will fit to a cds. what is the max size that will fit on a cd. Probably should know this already, but really hadnt needed it since I usually let tmgpenc wizard do the work for me...

    any help is appreciated.

  3. right. I have put with 820 I think is the max i've done.
I tried a trial 2-pass at 1400 bitrate and it looked pretty good on computer.
Anyone familiat with 2-pass, what is the lowest bitrate you can go on a non-action scene oriented movie and still get B+ results.
    Thanks
