  2. Press the audio button on the dvd player. Its possible you also ripped the DTS and the dts is attempting to play by default. If your amp or dvd player does not support dts then you would have no audio. Press audio and go through all the audio channels. DTS ac3, dolby etc

  3. I have a related question. I have DVD2ONE but haven't used it yet, as my DVD-R burner is due to arrive next week. I will be selecting 'AC3 6ch' for my audio, because I run my player thru a receiver with Dolby 5.1 . Now what happens if I burn an exact copy for a friend who doesn't have such a sound system, ie he is using only his tv speakers. I assume he will at least hear the audio, or would I need to rip a 2nd track to satisfy him?

Sorry if thats a dumb question, I'm just now switching from SVCD to DVDR, and since SVCD didnt have dolbySS, it wasnt an issue.

  4. The 5.1 should suffice but you may want to include the 2 channel as well. As for my rips, I only take dts and ac3 5.1. Nothing else is worth the trouble. Ripping DTS only would be fine, but for full DVD compliance it requires a dolby channel as well.
