    Hi,

    I've been using Virtualdub to gather information about framerates/PAL?NTSC etc from files before converting to VCD mpeg format using TMPGEnc.

    Unfortunately Virtualdub will not accept WMV and ASF files (due to copyright issue with Microsoft) and I was wondering is there a way I can get the right framerate/sizing for these files before I convert them with TMPGEnc?

    you can also try Stoik Video Convertor, check the tools section - freeware, fast and it works pretty well.
