i finally got ffmpegx to work with the latest version on using mplayer to get subs, it looks great. but i'm curious cause i use preset hibirate dvd, then i change the bitrate from 4000 to 6500, the movie is 137 minutes long, and just the movie was encoded to just under 2 gigs, it seems at that bit rate and length for the movie it would've been a bigger file, this is going dvd to dvd, 16x9, ntsc film. one thing i'm also curious about is that, the mpeg2 file i get won't import into dsp, says error 23.98. any way to make dsp like it?
