  1. Im trying to convert an Xvid file i have that is 25fps to 23.976.
Ive followed the guide on framerate conversion.

I used avifrate to change the framerate and used besweet for audio. When i encode the files in tmpg the audio is way out of sync?

Can anyone offer a simple guide on 25fps XVID to NTSC/SVCD.
    thanks

Did you use the built in FRC preset in beesweet?
I think you messed up with the files. oops

Check that your avi is really NTSC ( vdub file info )
extract the audio from the avi before using avifrate or sg else that changes the header.

You are on the right track for sure , I think you just messed sg up.
Anyone tired of his old DVD burner? Why put it into the trash? Contact me! :))))

    Hi mate,
    Try the following:
    1. Scan the Xvid avi for errors using Vdub. (If you find errors there is a guide on this site)
    2. Using Vdub (as long as the audio is not AC3) extract the audio in uncrompressed format.
    3. Audio -> no audio, Video -> Direct stream copy -> Frame rate change to 23.976 -> save avi.
    4. Using Besweet GUI & Besweet exe convert the audio to 23.976 fps PAL - NTSC.
    5. Open Vdub - Select the 23.976 avi that you saved. In audio select wav & open the wav file you saved using Besweet. Direct stream copy in audio & video. Then save as avi. Once saved check that every thing is ok.
    6. Encode to mpg using your favourite encoder.

    Hope this helps.
